Maybe she thinks she is old enough? or maybe because she "loves" her boyfriend... I never really understood why either... She saw how her sister became.. She might have thought "that will never happen to me"

she's young, and ignorant tryin to have fun. and her "great role model of a sister" doesn't help her much on how she should behave. she sees brittney getting in soo much trouble she might think it's ok that she does 1 thing.

She probably thought because she was some big star, that she could have unprotected sex and she wouldn't get pregnant, like she was above all that. Or maybe she was jealous of how much attention her sister has been getting and wanted some of her own!

Well. she had sex. Either she didn't use protection, or the protection failed. That's why.

not all pregnacies are planned. And sometimes people think they won't get pregnant and it happens anyways. The condom broke, the birth control didn't work, or they had unprotected sex. it happens all the time. She is just another young unfortant soul
