I like her because her views are not polite and kind hearted as the others. I think the others pander too much and try to be more accommodating when they are knowingly not.
I would like to point out a great quote that applies here.. "We are none tolerant in what concerns us deeply and entirely." Samuel Taylor Coleridge. The reason that fits is because people might think she's not tolerant person...but I see it as her having deep beliefs that she will not alter just because the majority think one way and that's admirable in a world of followers and giving uppers.....she stands her ground and one has to repsect that. I do. |

I like her. I think that she is a valuable asset to a show that is supposed to be about different points of "View". All of the other women on the panel are Democrats and she is the lone Republican. For her to be outnumbered by so many others and to still maintain her strong opinions says a lot about her character.
I do not necessarily believe in everything that she does, however I do think that her being on the show is what makes is so successful. Controversial opinions=Huge ratings. |

I used to like her when she was just a cutesy girl talking about her husband and annoying us with her Grace stories. But after seeing her go at it with Rosie. I cant stand her. She is small minded and forever putting down anything that is liberal or democratic. Its fine to hear her views, but she shoves them down the throats of all the other ladies on the panel. And she wont quite until shes said her piece. It is akward to watch and I feel the tension through the tv when she goes off on one of her rants. Its like watching Rosie all over again. Except the other ladies are nice to her, unlike how she was with Rosie. Barbara needs to send her packing.

It's like listening to chalk on a blackboard.
Plus she uses the same lines over and over. Word for word. |

She isn't smart, has NO journalistic experience and is argumentative, not diplomatic.
She's just an idiot who was on Survivor, that's how she got her "fame" Her own Wiki page states: In 2008, AOL conducted a poll to ascertain public opinion towards various American talk show hosts. In question nine "Who is the worst interviewer?" 35% of the 1.35 million respondents chose Hasselbeck. a Daily News article reported that Hasselbeck is "considered the worst interviewer on television" The View should get an INTELLIGENT and diplomatic right-winger to take her place. Hell, even Ann Coulter is more well spoken than Elisabich. |

I think she adds diversity to discussions. I have no reason to dislike her for her views even when I disagree.
