I've seen so many responses saying how Starr will make a great mom.......how cute she looks pregnant....Is that what the writers had in mind? That's is it easy to be pregnant at 16? Is it taken for granted that her rich parents are going to keep her and this baby up? Is she going to finish school? Is she going to have to find a job to pay for her prenatal screenings?

No I think what the writers had in mind was to show teens, it can happen to you too and not just poor teens. This story should have been told in the summer to reach that audience too!

Oh, you're being too reasonable. lol They're not thinking clearly now or they wouldn't have run away. Cole's spending money on an amusement park ride and feeding Starr junk food. Where's her vegetables and fruit and pre-natal vitamins? And I didn't see her drink any milk!
If Starr plans to keep her baby, she's going to have to do a 180. That girl is spoiled and selfish. Maybe as she and Cole settle down to a more normal life (if Todd is out of the picture) they can see how tough it's going to be to raise a child especially with college ahead of them. Maybe once they talk this all out (hopefully Marty can talk some sense into them), they will choose to give the baby for adoption. Tough choice, but they need to put the child first.

Starr would make a great mom??? Pleeease! The girl is 16. Is she going to expect Langston to babysit when she "doesn't feel like it". Starr's too immature, spoiled rotten, selfish, - need I go on? And Cole shot Miles. What about that? When is that kid going to take some responsibility? Instead "his plan" is to run away with practically no money. Brilliant, Cole! They desperately need guidance and an education and a job - not a baby.

I agree they def need to show teens just how hard it is to raise a child. I almost bet though that she will have a miscarriage, Todd will cause it once he finds out. They are showing Starr and Cole being in love and like its okay for them to be having a baby. If she does have the baby hopefully they will show how hard it is to finish school and to keep up with a child.

great questions....I bet the writers didn't think that far ahead....they just wanted to get a reaction to teen pregnancy.

Writers are avoiding the realistic questions so far. Cole is a punk who thinks he knows what's best for Starr. And she's a selfish brat and no baby is going to change that. If they think they love each other, they don't need to rush anything. That baby deserves a chance and they're not mature enough to give the baby anything. As soon as the going got rough at the amusement park, Starr wanted her Mommy. Grow up Starr! Take some responsibility, Cole and get a job until college starts.

True Starr is 2 young but her & Cole & the help with John & Blair I think they will just do prefect if they baby dont get hurt.Starr & Cole seem both ready & responsible to deal with the consequences and both handling well &maturely wha come to ya. So so far they both great 2 each other and tha is wha matter.Cause Todd give them no choice.Am very impress off Starr theses days and Cole wow he always was good to her.So Hope Blair & John help them and same time they can both continue with their education& future with the baby involt....

I'm not sure what the writers have in mind for this storyline.I know it's not easy to be pregnat at 16 it's hard. I went to school with girls being moms at that age. Some actually had to drop out until they could get established and then come back the following year.
Well, Blair is helping Starr and Todd has been kicked out of the house and has been arrested for asult and battery on Cole. Cole will be pressing charges and then Todd will either get away scot free or he'll be in jail for a while.
Starr will probably finish school. Blair will take care of the baby, I'm sure while Starr is in school during the day. And Cole will be there too, since he's the father. I think it's great that the writers are making Cole feel responsible and not have him run off and not claim the fact that he got Starr pregnant.
As for the preternal screenings, Blair will help her out.

I don't think they should have had sex or gotten pregnant, it's a disturbing storyline. Teen pregnancy is not easy, I hope they don't go the adoption route either. That is not easy either and shouldn't be glorified.

I think Starr is mature enough to be a good mother but the writers shouldn't make her life seem so easy. Not all teens who get pregnant are rich and have the easy life. She needs to get a job and take care of the baby instead of hiring a nanny or whatever.
