Fox affiliates were definitely NOT pleased when he berated them for not paying much media-attention to the war, but were all-too-happy to go on and on about Heath Ledger. Yes, it was a big tragedy, but the troops in the Middle East are each just as important and they are not getting their just due. CBS Productions then decided not to renew his contract after Fox decided not to air his shows when THEIR contract with CBS Productions ran out.

I'm not sure, but I'm gonna be very sad to see Montel leave. I thought his shows were great! They weren't as tacky as Jerry Springer and not as boring as Oprah. I think his show spoke more to my, and this, generation than the others. And his shows were insightful, tasteful, shocking (in a tasteful way), had good messages and feel good stories. It's sad to see the corporate media take away a strong, smart black man just to appease their own egos!
