I'm a junior in high school and I really want to write articles for a snowboarding magazine like Transworld... I slacked off a lot my freshman and sophomore year but now that I know what i wanna do I'm TRYIN' ta get better grades... Just wondering what else i could do that would get me on the right track and look good on a college application... Thanks

Honestly, the quickest way is to start your own 'zine. Self publishing is a lot of fun and many bigger publications pick these up looking for entry level writers and editors.
