Really... do you care who comes out #1? Will either performer really get a meaningful boost from being named the big winner?
I think both performers are talented, but Blake Lewis or even Bo Bice would have run circles around both these dudes. |

Neither have any charisma. What CD could David Archuleta possibly release that anyone would pay money for? He's a Disney Channel special waiting to happen.
David Cook strikes me as a poser as well. Gotta love how he plagerized Incubus' and Chris Cornell's renditions of other bands songs and he still made it to the final. Michelle Branch duet here we come. |

I disagree on both counts! Yes they will get a Record Contract, will have their lives changed, will become famous and make lot's of money, so YES I call that a meaningful boost!
Also I disagree with the statement that Bo and Blake will out do Cook. Though I liked both of them, David Cook appeals not only to the Rockers, but to the young people, and to the older generations. He has that stage presence and appeal. GO COOK!!!!!! |

Both of the Davids and maybe even Syesha will sign a recording contract within a few months guaranteed - so the actual "winner" on the show tonight will be basically for publicity, fame and media only....

Blake Lewis was overrated. Him going up against Jordin Sparks was the most lopsided finale ever. She sang him right into the grave.....

I think the year Fantasia won it was pretty irrelevant. Her and Diana DeGarmo....what a terrible choice.

My opinion: Blake Lewis, no. Bo Bice, maybe. It has given a whole new meaning to "this isn't fun anymore" on here today, that's for sure! I wish people would lighthen up! It's supposed to be fun.

Bo Bice- maybe. Blake Lewis- no. Blake is not that good of a singer. He's very talented, but he doesn't have the vocals. Everyone is better than Taylor Hicks

Maybe a bit irrelevant, but least it's not another boring, obvious Finale, though. Kelly vs Justin (should've been Kelly vs Tamyra)? Fantasia vs Diana (should've been Fantasia vs Jennifer)? Taylor vs Katherine (should've been Taylor vs Daughtry)? Duh, who did everyone think was going to win? At least Carrie vs Bo and and Jordin vs Blake could've gone either way (though I personally thought that Bo vs Constantine and Melinda vs Lakisha would've been more exciting). But this, to me, was the best, most exciting, most unpredictable Finale matchup that we've had since Ruben and Clay. I just wish the judges could've called it a draw, though, to build up more anticipation for tonight. But they still could've been wrong and Cook could still possibly be the winner, so I guess it is still pretty unpredictable. The votes must've been so close either way. But to answer your second question, no I don't think it really matters who wins because both of them are amazing and I'm sure that both of them will get signed. The runner-up may even get a deal before he even leaves the theatre, if Clive Davis has his way. Both of them are sure to have great careers whether they win or not, but it would still be exciting to find out who does. I can't wait.

I TOTALLY AGREE~! Syesha WAS the "1" for both D's to battle.
As a rock-n-roller Dave (4get the "id"!) Cook HAS the "Rod-Steward" talent that WILL hold long after A.I. is gone! Poor lil' David A. is a figment of daddy's lost dreams---poor child! I was NOT the parent of 2 son's that made them wussie's! I feel sorry for him cuz' daddy's TRYING DESPARATELY to make him to the "next DAVID CASSIDY"... And how many HITS did DC make??? "I think I love You" is the only 1 I can recall! Even SIMON has bought into the "$ for something" eh? I lost ALL respect after his so-called "criticism" after 2-night! And I DO play in a band... Hope next season they RE-VAMP this whole b.s. crap we've all been pandering to!!!! SEH IN MI |
