She wants to sing for god and just live for him. we all interpret songs differently. This can be about a boyfriend or god.I took it has a christian song since they are a christian rock band.

The singer, Lacey, is a Christian, she has stated that she is "married to God". She is in the process of tattoo work on one of her arms with Biblical references to this.
You are probably reading something sexual into her words where there is none - and with the lyrics we are all used to hearing in rock, that's understandable. Her "tongue dances behind her lips" when she sings about God. Considering the song as a whole, it's actually easy to see it's a Christian song. She's saying she's alive because of Christ and she feels him "all around her": My hands are searching for you My arms are outstretched towards you I feel you on my fingertips My tongue dances behind my lips for you This fire rising through my being Burning I'm not used to seeing you I'm alive, I'm alive I can feel you all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healing My hands float up above me And you whisper you love me And I begin to fade Into our secret place The music makes me sway The angels singing say we are alone with you I am alone and they are too with you I'm alive, I'm alive I can feel you all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healing And so I cry The light is white And I see you I'm alive, I'm alive, I'm alive I can feel you all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healing Take my hand I give it to you Now you owe me All I am You said you would never leave me I believe you I believe I can feel you all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healed |

Lacey might have intended it to be about God. However, it has an entirely different meaning to 99% of the population. That is what makes this song so great.

As an answer above me said, it's when she's singing.
And it's about, since she's a Christian, how she can feel his prescence everywhere... |
